School context:


Our school is a public school with 450 pupils and 29 teachers.

We have got two lines of 25 pupils each from 3 years old to 12.


Roureda School is a community of teachers, parents and students that seeks the integral education of children. Their work will focus on the educational attainment of:

training in respect of fundamental rights and freedoms, the acquisition of intellectual habits and work techniques, training in respect for linguistic and cultural diversity of our environment, having Catalan as the language  learning, and the education for peace, cooperation, social inclusion and solidarity among all people.
  
Sabadell is a big city, 200.000 inhabitants. We’re in the surrounded area of the city and our pupils come from families who immigrated to Catalonia two generations before. Their mother language is Spanish but the school is a Catalan one, so they’re bilingual.

CICLE SUPERIOR
Our pupils are folloween two workshops:
            - Science: We study the Respiratory system in English.  de ciències, estudiant el funcionament de 
           - Scratch:  With the tablets, they use the Scratch JR. programme to build histories in English

CICLE MITJÀ
Our pupils are folloween two workshops:
            - Art and crafts  in English.
            - Theatre: They performe stories in English

All the pupils follow the different workshops they are rotative.

International projects experience:

-2002-2004: Argonauts (Mentoring Erasmus students from  UAB)
-2005-2008: Comenius BECA, Building European Citizenship through the Arts, been the main coordinator building and carrying a specific web for the project.
-2011: ETsize project  intensive courses (Brussels) and the final Conference ( Bursa) Collaborating in the e-book with the  (Healthy wealthy project): http://www.european-teachers.eu/images/ebooks/etsize_2_european_citizenship.pdf 
-2014-15 :VOICES, Derby’s conference. Being an active member in the Thematic field and in the research group of Identity coordinated by Jo Byrd. Adding theoretical and practical contribution with the Identity projects “Message in a Bottle” and "Time Capsule" that are being developed in cooperation with the Zsheyrovskeho School in Olomouc (Czeck Republic) It can be followed through the  blog: http://identitymessageinabottle.blogspot.com.es/
